VINTON, LA–SEPTEMBER 3, 2022–The top three finishers were all equally wagered to win at post-time for the $30,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale Juvenile Stakes at Delta Downs on Saturday. It was the rare occasion where you see two sets of horses coupled by their owners and/or trainers, but it was Toast To Blue who proved best in the wager war for the finish line on a muddy track.

Owner/trainer Martin Trejo saddled Toast To Blue with jockey Ricky Ramirez aboard in the 350-yard stakes race. The duo darted from the three hole in the lead but shortly lost it at first call just to regain it again for a 3/4-length finish over Pk Pure Rogue and Splishsplash Piloto. The son of Jess Louisiana Blue clocked a 91 speed index in :17.553 seconds.
