Louisiana Downs Cards Schooling Races for Harrah's Futurity Hopefuls on Friday


Six schooling races for Harrah's Futurity hopefuls have been set for Friday at Louisiana Downs.

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 8, 2016—Louisiana Downs will conduct schooling races for 2-year-olds that remain eligible for the 2017 Grade 3 $250,000-est. Harrah's Entertainment Futurity on Friday (Feb. 10).

The track has scheduled six races at distance of 220 yards to begin at 11:00 a.m. (CST). Thirty-seven Quarter Horse foals of 2015 will face off for the first time with six horses entered in the first five races and seven making up the final.

Trails for the Harrah's Entertainment Futurity are set Saturday March 4. March 1 is the first official day AQHA 2-year-olds can make their debuts. The 300-yard final will be contested on closing day March 22.

Louisiana Downs’ stakes schedule this season will be topped by the 300-yard, $250,000-Guaranteed Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) for state-bred juveniles on March 18 (trials Feb. 26*).

Patrons who cannot attend the schooling races may watch them by going to the Louisiana Downs website prior to the 11:00 a.m. post and CLICKING HERE. Replays will also be available later that day.

Jumonville Farms and StallioneSearch.com will provide track goers with a program that includes the sire, dam, owner, trainer, jockey and sale information (if applicable) of each entry. Persons who cannot attend may download a PDF version by CLICKING HERE.
