VINTON, LA—APRIL 25, 2016—A total of 139 state-bred 2-year-old fillies, including Juan J. Bazaldua’s Jess A Little Star, has been entered in Friday’s 330-yard Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) trials at Delta Downs.

A gray filly by Jess An Idea trained by Adrian Huitron, Jess A Little Star will be making her first start since March 20, when she ran fourth, three lengths behind winner Rdd Lajollanfastdash, in the 300-yard, $273,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) at Louisiana Downs. The filly drew post 7 and will be ridden by Damian Martinez in the first of 14 trials.

TK Zoomaway, a clear maiden winner in her second out, will be ridden by Antonio Alberto from post 4 in the sixth heat. A homebred Zoomin For Bux filly owned and trained by Lanny Keith, TK Zoomaway is coming off of a 1 3/4-length victory in a 220-yard maiden special weight dash for state-breds at Louisiana Downs on March 22.

TK Zoomaway’s nine opponents in trial 6 include Juan F. Martinez-Labastida’s Momma Likee Big Game, a sorrel daughter of Game Patriot trained by Miguel Rodriguez. The filly scored a 1 1/4-length victory as the 13-10 favorite in a 220-yard state-bred maiden special weight at Louisiana Downs on March 5.

Eddie Aceves has been named to ride Momma Likee Big Game from post 6.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $75,000-added final on May 20.
