LQHBA Sale Repurchase, Beast N Me Clocks Fastest Delta Schooling Races Time on Friday


Delta Downs hosted the second of two nights of schooling races for 2-year-olds on Friday.

VINTON, LA–APRIL 12, 2024–Delta Downs completed the second of two nights of non pari-mutuel American Quarter Horse schooling races today (Apr 12) with 10 races for 2-year-old colts and geldings who are still eligible for the  Laddie Futurity and Old South Futurity.

All races were run over a distance of 220 yards.

Beast N Me, a colt by The Fiscal Cliff that was a $6,000 repurchase in the 2023 LQHBA Yearling Sale under the name RLR Country Cliff, raced to the fastest time of :12.110 seconds in the opening race.

Trainer Martin Trejo conditions the gelding for owner Trey Eames. Beast N Me was bred by Robin Redding, from the Country Chicks Man Feline Country,  a half-sister to Speedhorse Futurity (RG1) winner Furrtreeous and stakes winner Sophastacat.

Trainer Emily Jeane saddled Enzo Avion, a $19,500 LQHBA Sale graduate, to the second-fastest clocking of :12.178 seconds in Race 9. Jose H. Rodriguez purchased the Mr Piloto colt from AQHA Champion breeder Grant Farms.

Enzo Avion is from the first crop of foals out of Avionix, a First Moonflash half-sister to Grade 1 winner and leading sire Favorite Cartel, G3 winner Shescheckinumout and stakes winner Hospitaliti.  This is the family of world champion Wholeavingwho.
