Indomitable Hussle Clocks Fastest Schooling Race Time For Fillies at Delta Thursday


Delta Downs hosted the first of two nights of schooling races for 2-year-olds on Thursday. Another 10 races will be held tonight (April 12).

VINTON, LA–APRIL 12, 2024–Delta Downs hosted the first of two nights of non pari-mutuel American Quarter Horse schooling races on Thursday with 10 races for 2-year-old fillies nominated to Lassie and Old South Futurity.

The second night of schooling races, another 10 for colts & geldings who remain eligible for the Laddie and Old South Futurity, will be conducted tonight (April 12). First-post is 7:30 pm. All races are run over a distance of 220 yards.

Indomitable Hussle, a 2-year-old daughter of American Hussle, posted the fastest time on Thursday night with a neck win over Jrs Majestic Gator in Race 5.  Jockey Martin Osuana rode the bay filly to the night's fastest clocking of :12.331 seconds. Trainer Jesus Marquez conditions the filly out of Indomitable Ivory by Ivory James for owner-breeder Rogelio Marquez, Jr.

The second fastest clocking came in Race 8 when Yesterday Wine defeated Just Beaukas I Can by a neck in :12.341 seconds. Roberto Madrigal conditions the Coronas Leaving You filly for owner Paul Tomas Villareal Jr.

Mark W Harmon bred the bay filly from the thoroughbred mare Scarletridgerunner, by Cactus Ridge. Jockey Paulina Ramirez had the riding call.
