Majestic Cartel Relocated to Louisiana for 2019

Majestic Cartel, a brother to champion Five Bar Cartel, will stand the 2019 season at Claude Jeane Farm near Evans, Louisiana.

EVANS, LAŚNOVEMBER 26, 2018ŚMajestic Cartel, a stakes siring unraced full-brother to champion and leading first-crop sire Five Bar Cartel, has been purchased by Julien R. "Butch" Stevens and Scott Jeane and will stand the 2019 season at Claude Jeane Farm, near Evans, Louisiana. His fee has been set at $1,250, with consideration.

"Majestic Cartel was perhaps the fastest colt that I have ever had hands on," former AQHA Racing champion trainer Judd Kearl said. "His speed and quickness were beyond compare."

The $180,000 Ruidoso Select Sale Yearling was never started due to an injury sustained while in training.

From a limited number of starters in his first crop to race in 2018, Majestic Cartel is currently the #7 Leading First-Crop Sire of Money Earners. He is the sire of 3 winners including RG3-placed Diamond G Bee SI 92 (winner, $30,908 2nd TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity), Firestone Cartel SI 85 (2 wins, $7,293), First Cartel Perry SI 83 (winner, $4,820), etc.

Majestic Cartel's full sibling, AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Colt Five Bar Cartel is currently the 2018 Leading First-Crop Sire of Money Earners with 6 stakes winners and more than $1.1 million earners.

The son of leading living sire Corona Cartel is out of the Grade 1 winning Dash Ta Fame mare Five Bar Molly SI 107 ($187,109). She was a hard-knocking stakes horse, with wins at two, three, four and a stretch in Mexico match racing under the name "La Vispa". She returned to Los Alamitos in 2007 and retired after winning the Vessels Maturity(G1) and Miss Princess Handicap(G3) at the age of nine.
