First Crop Sire Tee Cos Gets First Stakes Winner


First crop sire Tee Cos sired his first stakes winner on Friday at Delta Downs.

VILLE PLATTE, LA—JUNE 24, 2016—Grade 1 placed-first crop sire Tee Cos SI 102 got his first stakes winner Friday when his 2-year-old son Mr Tee Cos won the $51,495 Alabama Futurity at Delta Downs.

Ridden by jockey John Hamilton, Mr Tee Cos kept his record a perfect 3-for-3 while completing the 330 yards in :16.293 seconds. The $25,747 winner's purse boosted his career total to $36,847. Trey Ellis conditions the Alabama homebred for owners Winston Houston and Marcus Tillman. The brown colt, out of Dashing Danali by Dashing Val, entered the futurity as the fastest qualifier.

From a limited number of starters in his first crop to race, Tee Cos has sired six winners and 1 stakes winner. Through June 21st he is the #5 Leading First Crop Sire in America.

Tee Cos' top performers include Alabama Futurity winner Mr Tee Cos (3 wins in 3 starts, $36,847), West Texas Futurity(G2) finalist Gamey Tee Cos (winner in two starts at 2, $14,071), Dust Tee Jewel (winner at 2, $19,630), Shiney Cartel (winner at 2, $14,800), Jls Shes Sassy (winner at 2, $14,025 ), Tee Mata (winner at 2, $12,900), etc.

The second dam is the stakes-placed daughter of Reb's Policy (TB), Rebs Do It To It SI 107 ($22,125) who set a new track record of :17.450 seconds for 350 yards at Bandera Downs. She is a sister to former Los Alamitos track record-holder and stakes winner I'm A Sure Thing SI 103 ($35,317), etc.
