LQHBA Fall Mixed Sale Kicks-Off Saturday


The 2016 LQHBA Fall Mixed Sale gets underway on Saturday in Opelousas, Louisiana.

OPELOUSAS, LA—OCTOBER 26, 2016—Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders' Association will kickoff their 2016 Fall Mixed Sale on Saturday at the Equine Sales of Louisiana facility in Opelousas.

The catalog includes 202 head of yearlings, broodmares, stallions, weanlings, horses of racing age and barrel prospects. The first lot will start promptly at 10:00 am (CDT).

Additionally a breeding to leading Louisiana sire Game Patriot will be auctioned. Net proceeds from the sale of the breeding will go towards the LQHBA Youth Scholarship drawings set for Saturday, November 19th at Evangeline Downs.

Sale goers are urged to go early and attend the $1 million LQHBA Breeders' Futurity(RG1) trials Friday evening at Evangeline Downs. The Equine Sales of Louisiana facilities are located only five minutes from the racetrack. First post for the 15 trial races will be 4:35 pm. The finals will be run Saturday, November 19th.
