OPELOUSAS, LA—OCTOBER 14, 2022—Five Bar Miracles rocketed away from the gate and was never challenged in winning the $30,000 Amelia Belle at Evangeline Downs Friday night.

The stakes for Louisiana-bred fillies and mares three-years-old and up that have not previously won a sweepstakes, was contested over a fast track at the distance of 350 yards.

Breaking smoothly under jockey J.R. Ramirez, Five Bar Miracles had plenty of clear racetrack to get into stride.  Five Bar Joy, Louisiana Tequila and RM Super Angel were also away well, while heavily favored San Lorenzo Dash hopped at the start and was slightly brushed to hinder her chances.
