Mr John Prevails In Louisiana Downs Feature Allowance Monday

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 21, 2022—Post time favorite Mr John kept to the task as he defeated Bears Fast Dash by a neck in the $11,300 Feature Allowance at Louisiana Downs Monday for state-bred 3-year-olds & up who have never won two races.

Trainer Benjamin Wilbanks saddled the 4-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Jls Party Wagon for owner Raymond L. Wilbanks. The $6,780 winner's purse increased Mr Jon's earnings total to $19,168 off nine career starts. Under jockey Ubaldo Luna, he completed the 300 yards in :15.994 seconds into a 10 mph headwind.

David Wayne Guillory bred the gray gelding from the Andalay Get mare Always Chasing Lissa.

Runner-up Bears Fast Dash earned $2,260 for his effort. Vann Haywood sent out the Heza Fast Dash filly for owner Marvin Klare. Gilbert Ortiz was aboard the $18,090 earner bred from the Mr Jess Perry mare Lady Mimosa. Nash Development LLC is the breeder.

Trump Card Kkr was one-length back to earn $1,243 for third. Manuel H. Macias trains the Apollitical Blood 3-year-old for owner Alfredo Barranco. Keith and Kyla Renfro bred the sorrel gelding from the Coronas Leaving You mare Lil. Southern Corona. Luciano Duenez had the riding call.

Open Bar Mc, Cwfasttrack, Adore My Runaway and Dashaway Royal completed the field.
