BOSSIER CITY, LA—APRIL 3, 2021—On Nyx, under jockey Victor Urieta, Jr., popped to a quick lead and held off Lucky Dice by a neck to break her maiden in the Grade 3 $302,010 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity Saturday at Louisiana Downs.

Conditioned by trainer Alonso Neri, On Nyx completed the 300 yards in :15.441 seconds, equaling a 97 speed index into a 3 mph headwind. It was the daughter of leading third-crop sire Kiss My Hocks' first win in two career starts. In the March 13th trials she was second to Coronadito to post the fifth fastest qualifying time.

"Honestly, with these 2-year-olds, they have to learn from their first start," said Neri. "After her trial, we took her back to the farm to make sure she was okay. Today, everything clicked and we are blessed to see this filly run such a great race."
