Ss Classyjess and Fantasticazoom Jr. Win Their Divisions of the $15,000 Swift Stakes

BOSSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 25, 2020—Horsemen continue to fill nominations for the 2020 Quarter Horse stakes and for the third time this meet, the $15,000 Swift Stakes, at 350-yards, was run in two divisions.

Swift Stakes- Division I

Trainer Jose Carrizales saddled both winners to Seift Stakes today (Saturday), first with Ss Classyjess ($5.80), who took the first division in a final time of :17.754.

Her regular rider Juan Garcia guided the 4-year-old mare by Rock Solid Jess out of post position six, defeating the heavy favorite Dlj Imma B Famous to earn the first stakes win of her career.

This was her second start of the 2020 Quarter Horse meet, besting her runner-up finish in the $15,000 Harrah's Dash on January 4. Tempting Annee GL ran third with Every Chicks Favorit completing the superfecta.

The gray filly races for owner Edgar Rosales. Ronnie Stewart and Double S Farm bred Ss Classyjess in Texas from the Royal Shake Em Mare High Glass Broad.

Tempting Annee GL is a daughter of champion sire Tempting Dash racing for owner Garza Laurel Partnership LLC land trainer Jose Ponce.

Third-place finisher Every Chiks Favoirt is a Florida-bred son of leading sire Favorite Cartel. Robi Meche saddled the 5-year-old horse for owner Lorena Gutierrez.

Swift Stakes- Division II

J &J Racing LLC's Fantasticazoom Jr ($4.60) won his second stakes of the season under confident handling by Ricardo Hernandez, Jr.

Also trained by Carrizales, the son of Fantastic Corona Jr won his division of the Harrah's Dash, which was his first career stakes victory. He has now won his fourth consecutive race. Summer Run Inc. bred the brown colt in Texas from the Azoom mare Zoomshakalaka.

Ja B Valiant, a 4-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Mighty B Valiant, finished second under rider Bryan Candanosa. Robi Meche saddled the sorrel gelding for owner Lorena Gutierrez. Joe B. Allen bred Ja B Valiant form the Mr Jess Perry mare Ja Impetuously.

Andres Aguilar's Ll Tee Boug was third for trainer Luis Martinez. Ubaldo Luna rode the Tee Cos gelding out of Darlin Eyes by Mr Eye Opener. Lloyd Landry is the breeder.
