Fdp Rock Solid Best In Esplanade Stakes
Fdp Rock Solid out broke trouble under jockey Antonio Alberto then held to defeat Sunset Run by half-a-length in the $35,000 Esplanade Stakes on Saturday. Dlj Imma B Famous finished a head back for third.
Conditioned by trainer Robert Meche, FdpRock Solid covered the sloppy (sealed) course in :17.769 seconds to take home the winners' purse valued at $15,000.
It was the seventh win 17 starts for the Rene Amaro owned son of multiple stakes sire Rock Solid Jess. Bred in Texas by Sarah Huskey, Fdp Rock Solid boosted his earnings mark to $243,061. The winner of the TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity(RG3) is out of First Down Payment by Deltas First Down.
Jose Alfonso Ramos' Sunset Run picked up $5,000 for his second-place finish. The multiple stakes-placed FDD Dynasty 3-year-old is conditioned by Miguel Rodriguez and ridden by Jorge Linares. Jim Streelman and Bill Dale bred the sorrel gelding in Missouri from the Mr Jess Perry mare Summer Love Song.
Dlj Imma B Famous, a Louisiana-bred son of Coronas Leaving You, races for owner Myron McKinnon and trainer Alberto Solis. Ridden by Gilbert Ortiz the bay gelding earned $3,850 for the effort. Donald Henderson bred Dlj Imma B Famous from the Strawflyin Buds mare Yugo Buds.
Stone Gold Leader, Famouseagletime and Classified Bulls Eye completed the field.
Jw Who Dat Rolls in Faubourg St. John
Multiple stakes winner Jw Who Dat, under jockey Antonio Alberto, rolled to a 2 ¼ length win over No Politics Here in the $33,900 Faubourg St. John Stakes Saturday at the Fair Grounds. Dark Bark finished another 1-½ lengths back in third.

It was the second win on the card for jockey Alberto who also won the Esplanade Stakes earlier on the card.
Jw Who Dat completed the 870 yards over a sloppy (sealed) course in :46.757 seconds. J.W. Owens bred the bay gelding from the Heza Fast Man mare Ew Comment.
T M Ranch's No Politics Here earned $2,750 for second. Kenneth L. Roberts, Sr. conditions the multiple stakes-placed son of Jess Louisiana Blue from our of In His Dreams by Apollo (TB). Randy Edison was up.
Third-place finisher Dark Bark, a 5-year-old Oak Tree Special gelding, picked up $2,100 for owner Onel Marquez. Eduard Morales saddled the Rose Mary Chandler Texas-bred from the Tasso (TB) mare Trio Gal. Noe Castaneda was aboard the earner of $46,136.
B And G Fast Dash and Gbh Fast Wave completed the field. Lock To Monte Cristo, Louisiana Dressblues and Streak of Music were scratched.
