Private First Prize Breaks Maiden In LQHBA Sale Invitational


Private First Prize (#6) gets up over All Blinged Up (#2) to win the $33,024 LQHBA Sale Invitational Saturday afternoon at Fairgrounds Racecourse.

NEW ORLEANS, LA—SEPTEMBER 9, 2017—Lightly raced, in just her third career start, Private First Prize got up by a head over All Blinged Up to win the $33,024 LQHBA Sale Invitational Saturday afternoon at Fairgrounds Racecourse.

Ridden by jockey Noe Castaneda, the daughter of first crop sire First Prize Doc, completed the 350 yards in:17.841 seconds to pocket the winners' paycheck of $12,550.

Trainer Kenneth Roberts, Sr. conditions the sorrel filly for owner/breeder Dewy Kendrick, III. Private First Prize is out of the Oak Tree Special mare Private Oak.

John Hamilton had the riding call aboard runner-up All Blinged Up, a daughter of Heza Fast Dash from the Ocean Runaway mare Sheza Runaway. Bruce Bell trains the gray filly for owner Ten To Win LLC. Ryan and Danielle Robicheaux bred All Binged Up. She earned $7,596 to boost her career total to $24,896.

Heza Jess Cuervo picked up $5,284 for his third-place finish. Kenneth Weeks saddled the son of first crop sire Jess Cuervo from the Heza Fast Dash mare Sheza Jess Love. Santiago Mendez had the riding assignment aboard the Janice Bell owned-gelding. Stephen Deville is the breeder.

Triple Vodka Adios, Eyesa Game, Rf Shez Leaving You, Jezz Chick and Bpj Blazen Fast Ryon completed the field. Eye Am Sizzlin and Tf Dashing Ms Perry were both scratched.
