OPELOUSAS, LA—NOVEMBER 29, 2014—Just as trainer Brenda Foster predicted fastest qualifier Jls Dashn And Zoomn returned Saturday night to win the $1 Million-Guaranteed LQHBA Breeders' Futurity(RG1) at Evangeline Downs. Jes A Fast Dash finished half-a-length back in the place position with Fast Preacher Man a neck off in third.

On the night of the November 8th trials, Foster, who was born in 1950, had predicted that Jls Dashn And Zoomn would qualify with a :19.5 time. He set the top mark for all 13 trials with a :19.502 clocking.

Ridden by jockey Raul Ramirez, Jr., Jls Dashn And Zoomn broke fourth in the million-dollar final but quickly got the first call then held a half-length lead to wire. His time of :19.726 seconds, into a 3 mph headwind, was good for a 97 speed index.

“First of all, I want to thank God,” said Foster following the big race. “This horse has been a pleasure. He has done everything I have asked and improves each time he runs.”

It was the fourth win (third consecutive) for the Jose Guzman owned Sir Runaway Dash colt. Guzman purchased Jls Dashn And Zoomn, whom picked up $445,000 for tonight's effort, for $7,500 at the 2013 LQHBA Yearling Sale. JLS-Speedhorse Ranch bred him from the Shazoom mare Shaken Thru Zoom and his record stands at (8) 4-1-0 with earnings of $467,710.

Jes A Fast Dasher, who won the LQHBA Breeders' Sale Invitational at Fair Grounds Race Course over the summer, broke on top and held second throughout as he chased the leader gamely for owner/breeder Tony Doughtie. Kenneth L. Roberts, Sr. conditions the Heza Fast Dash colt out of the multiple stakes winning Game Patriot mare Jes A Game.

Lucas Constantin rode the winner of four of seven starts this season. The $220,000 second place check pushed the sorrel gelding's earning mark past $260,000.

Second fastest qualifier Fast Preacher Man put in a mild rally off the outside rail to finish third for owners Timothy and Theresa Stephens. Trey Ellis saddled the lightly raced Jet Black Patriot colt that was making only his fifth career start in Saturday's final.

Ridden by John Hamilton the two-time winner picked up $110,000 for his effort. Richard and Janelle Simon bred Fast Preacher Man from the Streakin La Jolla mare Predictably.

Mudbug, Firefly Fortune, Icanonlyemagine, Patriot Heart, Louisiana Sixshooter, Lrh Jack Black and Hezarunnintoachieve completed the million-dollar field.
