Scoopies Leaving You Gets Fourth Consecutive Stakes Victory in Mr Jess Perry


Scoopies Leaving You, under jockey Donald Watson, winning the $25,000 Mr Jess Perry(RG3) Stakes at Louisiana Downs Saturday.

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 27, 2017—Joel Galindo's multiple stakes winner Scoopies Leaving You raced to his fourth straight stakes victory on Saturday when he defeated Running Game Patriot by half-a-length in the $25,000 Mr Jess Perry(RG3) Stakes at Louisiana Downs. Zoomin For Bugs was a neck back for third.

Jockey Donald Watson quickly hustled Scoopies Leaving You to the lead out of the gate as the heavy posttime favorite. Saddled by trainer Kevin Broussard, the brown horse completed the 350 yards in :17.798 seconds, a 90-speed index with a 7 mph tailwind. The $15,000 winner's purse boosted his career-earning total to $228,780.

The 5-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Coronas Leaving You has won six of his last seven starts including the Swift Stakes, Harrah's Dash Stakes, Sam's Town Stakes, Evangeline Downs Dash and Gentilly Dash Stakes. He was also second in the Jess Meche Memorial Stakes.

Bred by Gerald Libersat, from the Toast To Dash mare Ms Scoopies Toast, Scoopies Leaving You has compiled a (25) 14-3-2 record.

Dave Correll conditions Running Game Patriot for owner Pete Scarmardo. The multiple stakes-placed son of Game Patriot picked up $5,000 for his effort to bring his total earnings mark to $76,525. S Bar S and Ryan Robicheaux bred Running Game Patriot from the Eyesa Special mare Eyesa La Tac.

Graded stakes winner Zoomin For Bugs picked up $2,750 for his third place finish. Danny Mittag trains the son of Zoomin For Bux for owner Joan Rood. Dennis Miller bred the earner of $183,200 in Louisiana from the Toast To Dash mare Toast To Bugs.

Completing the order of finish were Louisiana Jambalaya, Ld Streakin N Leavin, Jt Cruiser, Tm Dees Prize, Jls Mr Bigtime, Little Blue Dove and Party With Braxton.
