Scoopies Leaving You Gets Up Over Jess A Rouge In Gentilly Dash


Scoopies Leaving You (#6) catches Jess A Rogue (#1) at the wire in Saturday's $40,000 Gentilly Dash Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans.

NEW ORLEANS, LA—AUGUST 22, 2015—Scoopies Leaving You got up the wire by a head over Jess A Rogue in the $40,000 Gentilly Dash Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course Saturday afternoon. I Love This Dash finished a neck off the leaders in third.

Ridden by jockey Donald Watson, Scoopies Leaving You covered the 250 yards over a sloppy sealed racetrack in a quick :12.886 seconds to earn a 103 speed index. The $24,000 winner's purse boosted the 4-year-old Coronas Leaving You colt's earnings to $165,780.

Kevin Broussard conditions the multiple stakes winner for owner Joel Galindo. Bred by Gerald Libersat, from the Toast To Dash mare Ms Scoopies Toast, the brown colt's record stands at (19) 9-2-2.

Jess A Rouge picked up $6,000 for finishing second. Trey Ellis conditions the Triple M Farms, LLC's homebred daughter of leading sire Heza Fast Dash. Out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Miss Jess Rogue, Jess A Rogue has earned $91,473. Alfonso Lujan had the riding assignment.

Also a daughter of Heza Fast Dash, I Love This Dash races for owner Louis Johnson, Jr. and trainer Kenny Keith. John Hamilton rode the Kenneth Fletcher John Hamilton rode the 4-year-old out of I Love This Bar, by Streakin La Jolla. I Love This Dash picked up $4,400 to boost her earnings mark to over $68,000.

Rosouti, Kerry Special Crown, Rbd Jessaswingin, Cartels Fortune, Feisty Favorite, Zoomin For Bugs and Lets Jess Do It completed the field.
