Jls Dashn And Zoomn Extends Win Streak to Four With Louisiana Stakes Victory


Jls Dashn And Zoomn, under jockey Raul Ramirez, Jr., easily winning the Louisiana Stakes on Saturday at Louisiana Downs.

BOSSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 17, 2015—Making his first start since an impressive win in the $1 million LQHBA Breeders' Futurity last November, Jls Dashn And Zoomn kicked off his 3-year-old career an impressive 1 ˝ length win over Dashacrossyourmind in Saturday's $25,000 Louisiana Stakes at Louisiana Downs. Buzzinga was a half-length back in the 350 yard event for 3-year-old Louisiana-Breds.

Raul Ramirez, Jr. took command away from the gate then used a mild drive before drawing off from the field. The :17.452 clocking was an impressive 103 speed index into the 10 mph head wind. The Brenda Foster trainee pocked $15,000 to bring his career total to $482,710.

The son of leading Louisiana sire Sir Runaway Dash is owned by J and Y Racing. Jls-Speedhorse Ranch, Inc. bred the sorrel gelding from the Shazoom mare Shaken Thru Zoom. His record stands at (9) 5-1-0.

Kevin Broussard saddled Dashacrossyourmind for owner Brock Broussard and Jacque Bourque. It was the first start for the Heza Fast Dash colt that won the LQHBA Breeders' Juvenile Invitational in his last start. Bred by T. Rogers and T.G. Fontenot, MD, Dashacrossyourmind is out of the Mr Eye Opener mare Doievercrossyourmind. The $5,000 runner-up paycheck brings the bay's earnings total to nearly $60,000.

Buzzinga picked up his first black-type finish for owner Jose Flores and trainer Justin Dehart conditions the Jet Black Patriot colt out of Reckless Fast Dash, by Heza Fast Dash. Ridden by Lucas Constantin, Buzzinga earned $2,750. Stevie and Margo Romero is the breeder.

Completing the order of finish were Zoomin For Bugs, Wheres Mom, Tough Enuff, Jumpn Jesse and Aint Eye Grey and Sweet Okey Dokey who dead-heated for eighth. Hemps Jumpn Lajolla was last.
