OPELOUSAS, LA–OCTOBER 25 2022–
Eight Louisiana-breds, headed by early favorites One Fast Cajun and Sarahs Patriot, are entered in Saturday's 870-yard, $35,000 Races and Aces Stakes (R) at Evangeline Downs.

One Fast Cajun is a 4-year-old son of Heza Fast Dash trained by Shane Ladner for owners Darrin Ladner and Norman Ladner. The bay gelding has earned $46,100 from four outs this season, all at the 870-yard distance, and he is coming off of a convincing 4 3/4-length victory on a muddy and sealed track in the September 3, $30,000 Faubourg St John Stakes (R) at Delta Downs.

One Fast Cajun drew the rail post and will be ridden by Ubaldo Luna.

A 4-year-old daughter of Game Patriot and the only distaffer in the field, Sarahs Patriot is coming off of a Delta Downs campaign during which the bay mare won two of three 870 starts, including the June 11, $25,000 Virgil Bond Stakes, and banked $46,000.

Sarahs Patriot drew post 2 and will be ridden by Donell Blake for owner Gilbert Matthews and trainer Phillip Calais Jr.

Other contenders include Louie B Quick, a sophomore son of champion Brimmerton owned and trained by Paul Rigdon. Louie B Quick will be facing stakes company for the first time in his career, but the sorrel gelding has won both of his recent 870 starts, including an 870-yard, $14,000 open-condition allowance race at Evangeline Downs on October 6.

Louie B Quick drew post 8 and will be ridden by Ricardo Hernandez Jr.
