The restricted Grade 2 330 yard event, for accredited Louisiana-bred fillies, will be contested as Race 10 on Friday’s Delta Downs card with an approximate post of 9:35 PM (CDT). First post is 6:15 PM.

Second fastest qualifier (fastest from night 1) Cos Mamma Said has been installed as the 3-1 morning-line favorite.

The filly by multiple stakes sire Jet Black Patriot is from the stakes-placed Heza Fast Dash mare McM On Thin Ice.  The second dam is the stakes winning thoroughbred mare Icy Lane, a half-sister to 5 black type including G1-placed First Down Morn and G1-placed Early Morning Bite. Bayou Stirling Equine LLC bred the $23,500 LQHBA Yearling Sale repurchase.

San Lorenzo Moon (6-1), a $67,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale repurchase by leading sire Apollitical Blood, will try to replicate her dam’s race record who made her career debut by qualifying for the Lassie Futurity(RG2), then returning to win the final in a start to a brilliant race career.

San Lorenzo Moon is the first foal of the great race mare Dashnunder Afullmoon by Heza Fast Dash. Dashnunder Afullmoon won eight of 11 starts including the Lee Berwick Futurity(RG1), Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile (RG2) and the LQHBA Breeders' Derby. She earned $711,951.
