Love The Way You Fly, Sheza Freighttrain T Return in Evangeline Downs Dash

Stakes winner Love The Way You Fly will head Wednesday’s 220-yard, $20,000 Evangeline Downs Dash Stakes.

OPELOUSAS, LA—OCTOBER 1, 2021—A full field of 10 sprinters is entered in Wednesday’s 220-yard, $20,000 Evangeline Downs Dash Stakes.

Todd Matte’s Love The Way You Fly, a 4-year-old Furyofthewind stallion trained by Trey Ellis, will be making his first start since July 31, when he scored a half-length victory in the 220-yard, $50,000 Flying Breed Stakes (R) for Louisiana-breds at Delta Downs, his first out at the 220-yard distance. Love The Way You Fly has won five of 17 races and has earned $177,661.

Love The Way You Fly drew post 4 and will be ridden by Juan F. Garcia Jr.

Sheza Freighttrain T races for Patrick Richardson from the barn of trainer Eric Long. A sophomore daughter of Freighttrain B and one of only two distaffers in the race, the filly has won her last two outs, including the 330-yard, $50,000 Flashy Hemp Stakes (R) for Louisiana-breds at Delta Downs on July 31.

Sheza Freightrain T drew post 8 and will be ridden by Everardo Rodriguez.
