VINTON, LA—JUNE 8, 2020—Sheza Freighttrain T, a graded stakes placed daughter of Freighttrain B racing for Patrick Richardson, is one of 150 state-bred 2-year-old fillies entered in Friday’s 330-yard $329,410 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) trials at Delta Downs.

Sheza Freighttrain T will be making her first official start since March 14, when she ran second, a neck behind winner El Camino CL, in the 300-yard, $315,166 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) at Louisiana Downs. A $50,000 purchase at last year’s Louisiana QHBA Yearling Sale, the filly has earned $57,179 from two starts.

Sheza Freighttrain T drew the rail post and will be ridden by Rolando Pina for trainer Eric Long in the 12th of 15 trials.

J & J Stables LLC’s One Sweet Filly, a homebred daughter of One Sweet Jess, is coming off of a fifth-place finish in the Mardi Gras Futurity. The filly drew post 4 and will be ridden by Ricardo Hernandez Jr. for trainer Jose Carrizales in the fourth trial.

To accommodate the large number of trials, post time for Friday’s program is set for 3:50 p.m. (CDT). The last heat is scheduled to go off at 9:40.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the July 3, $75,000-added Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity final.
