Flamin Hot Fortune Returns in Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity Trials

VINTON, LA—-APRIL 24, 2018—Flamin Hot Fortune, a graded stakes placed daughter of Jet Black Patriot owned by Jose and Dianette Garcia’s KK Horse Racing, is one of 122 state-bred fillies entered in Friday’s 330-yard Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) trials at Delta Downs.

Flamin Hot Fortune has earned $35,247 from two starts, and she will be stretching out in distance off of her third-place finish, a neck behind winner Guidry Pride, in the 300-yard, $310,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) at Louisiana Downs on March 17. The filly drew post 6 and will be ridden by Damian Martinez for trainer Jose A. Garcia in the second of 13 trials.

Dick Bush Racing LLC’s The Mighty Moose drew post 8 and will be ridden by Noe Castaneda for trainer Eduardo Morales in the first heat. A daughter of Fast Prize Dash, the filly is coming off of a fourth-place finish in the Mardi Gras Futurity.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the May 18, $75,000-added Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity final.
