The Cazador Draws Post 7 for Laddie Futurity

VINTON, LA—MAY 17, 2017—Rayne Knight’s The Cazador, a sorrel son of Sir Runaway Dash and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 state-bred 2-year-old colts and geldings entered back in Saturday’s 330-yard, $266,140 Louisiana Breeders’ Laddie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.
The Cazador made his debut with a 1 1/4-length victory in the eighth of 12 trials on April 29. The colt drew post 7 and will be ridden by John Hamilton.
Other contenders include TM Ranch’s Jls Dash N Fire, the second-fastest qualifier and an $80,000 buy at last year’s LQHBA Yearling Sale. Trained by Kenneth Roberts Sr., the Heza Fast Dash colt is coming off of a three-quarter length win in his debut, the sixth Laddie Futurity trial.
David Alvarez will ride Jls Dash N Fire from post 5.
