LQHBA Sale Graduates Debut in Delta Downs Schooling Races on Friday and Saturday

VINTON, LA—APRIL 2, 2015—In anticipation of it's upcoming Quarter Horse Meet, set to open Wednesday April 22, Delta Downs will host 28 schooling races for two-year-olds over two nights this weekend.

Fillies will take center stage Friday night when 98 distaffers make their career debuts in 14 (non wagering) schooling races going 220 yards. All participants remain eligible to either the LQHBA Lassie Futurity or the Old South Futurity.

On Saturday the males will face off when 98 colts or geldings participate in 14 (non wagering) schooling races at 220 yards. All participants remain eligible to either the LQHBA Laddie Futurity or the Old South Futurity

First post on Friday and Saturday is set for 7:30 p.m. (CDT). Delta Downs will stream the schooling races live with replays at the tracks website www.deltadownsracing.com. One you are on the site click "Racing", then click "Live Racing and Race Replays".

Among Friday's entries are $120,000 LQHBA Sale graduate Miss Stoli Fast, a daughter of world champion sire Stoli from the Heza Fast Dash mare Fast Dash N Deb. Van Haywood trains the filly for McM Farms LLC and PDC Racing. She will start in Race 4.

In the first race Cowgirl Game, a $50,000 LQHBA graduate will make her debut for owner Harlow Stables, LLC. Michael Taylor conditions the Game Patriot filly out of Dashs Co Ed.

Taylor will also start Its A Storm Warning in Race 12 for owners Scott and Monica Jones. The Game Patriot filly brought a final bid of $62,000 in last summer's LQHBA Sale. She is out of Angels Cartel.

On Saturday night leading training Kenneth Roberts, Sr., will debut $70,000 LQHBA Sale graduate Dashin Illusively, a Heza Fast Dash colt out of the Dash For Cash mare Real Or Imagined. TM Ranch is owns the colt set to race in 12th.

Michael Taylor conditions Rl Blue Picture in the 11th race for himself and co-owner Raymond Loup. The Jess Louisiana Blue colt brought a $55,000 bid the LQHBA Yearling Sale last summer. He is out of Picture Perfect Tee.

Taylor will also saddle a pair of $50,000 LQHBA graduates on Saturday night. Mike and Mary Ellen Hickman's Stoli colt Dashingpastya will start in Race 4. He is out of the Heza Fast Dash mare McM Sheza Fast Cutie. In Race 5 the trainer will start Fast Prize Patriot, a $50,000 Game Patriot half-brother to multiple stakes winner Fast Prize Jordan. Harlow Stables, LLC is the owner.

Trials for the 2015 Lassie Futurity will contested on Friday, April 24 and trials for the 2015 Laddie Futurity are set for Saturday, April 25 at Delta Downs. The finals for the $75,000-added RG2 events over 330 yards will be run back on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16.

Trials to the Old South Futurity will be contested on May 1 with the $25,000-added final, also at 330 yards, set for Friday, May 22.

The 2015 Delta Downs Quarter Horse Meet will be run from April 22 thru July 11. The track will host the Louisiana Showcase Night on July 11 with eight stakes races for state-breds headed by the RG1 $200,000-added Lee Berwick Futurity.
