OPELOUSAS, LA—NOVEMBER 13, 2018—Graded stakes winners Eysa Jess Jumpn and Im For Real are among the 123 state-bred juveniles entered in Friday’s 400-yard LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity (RG1) trials at Evangeline Downs.

Eysa Jess Jumpn is a daughter of Heza Fast Dash trained by Josue Huitron for owner Jose Estrada Quarter Horses. The filly has won her last four races, including the 350-yard, $700,000 Lee Berwick Futurity (RG1) at Delta Downs on July 7.

Eysa Jess Jumpn drew the rail post and will be ridden by Guadalupe Lucio Jr. for trainer Josue Huitron.

Im For Real will be making her first official start since May 18, when the gray daughter of the Shazoom stallion Whathaveigottado scored a 28-1 upset victory in the 330-yard, $284,000 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs. Josue Huitron trains the homebred filly for owner Dale Rogers.

Guadalupe Lucio Jr. will ride Im For Real from post 8 in the second heat.

Other prominent Louisiana-breds entered in the trials include Larry J. Boudreaux’s Mpshinning and Julio Cesar Ramirez’s Amending The Bar. A bay son of Mr Piloto trained by Josue Huitron, Mpshinning will be facing Louisiana-breds off of his second-place finish, a half of a length behind winner Paint Me A Sinner, in the 400-yard, $406,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park on October 6.

Luis Vivanco will ride Mpshinning from post 5 in the third trial.

Amending The Bar will be stretching out in distance off her three-quarter length win in the 350-yard, $435,000 LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1) at Fair Grounds Racecourse on September 8. A chestnut daughter of Five Bar Cartel trained by Jose Luis Sanchez III, the filly drew post 6 and will be ridden by Eddie Sanchez in the 12th heat.

Post time for the first trial is set for 4:50 p.m. (CST). The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the December 15, $1-million LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity final.
