VINTON, LA—MAY 16, 2016—Dashin Swinger, a sorrel daughter of Swingin Jess and the fastest qualifier, drew post 7 for Friday’s 330-yard, $298,012 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.
Trained by Erasmo Hernandez for owners Jesus Cervantes and Antonio Fierro, Dashin Swinger made her debut with a half-length victory in the last of 14 trials on April 29. The filly was a $6,500 purchase at last year’s Louisiana Quarter Horse Association Yearling Sale.
