Party Girl Stakes Draws Full Field of Louisiana-Bred Distaffers

BOSSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 25, 2016—Louis Johnson Jr.’s TF Eyes R Struttin, a multiple stakes winning 5-year-old daughter of Struttin To Beduino trained by Lanny Keith, is one of 10 state-bred fillies and mares entered in Saturday’s 350-yard, $25,000 Party Girl Stakes (R) at Louisiana Downs.

TF Eyes R Struttin will be making her first start since December 19, when she ended her 4-year-old campaign with a third-place finish in the 350-yard, $25,000 Sam’s Town Stakes at Evangeline Downs. The mare banked $120,510 from nine outs last year, and her five wins included stakes wins at Delta Downs, Evangeline Downs, and Fair Grounds Racecourse.

TF Eyes R Struttin drew post 4 and will be ridden by Raul Ramirez Jr. The mare’s nine opponents include Hubert Vestal’s Embrujo Star, a 4-year-old Embrujo FG mare trained by Trey Ellis. Embrujo Star ran second, a half of a length behind TF Eyes R Struttin, in the 330-yard, $30,000 Billy Montgomery Stakes (R) at Evangeline Downs in October.

Alfonso Lujan has been named to ride Embrujo Star from post 7.

Joel Galindo’s Scoopies Leaving You is the early favorite for Saturday’s 350-yard, $15,000 Swift Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

A 5-year-old son of Coronas Leaving You trained by Kevin Broussard, Scoopies Leaving You made his season debut with a nose victory as the 7-5 favorite in the 250-yard, $15,000 Harrah’s Dash Stakes at this track on January 9. The stallion won three of his five starts, all against stakes company, last season.

Scoopies Leaving You drew post 4 and will be ridden by Donald Watson.
