Open Me A Corona Relocates to Robicheaux Ranch


Champion Open Me A Corona will stand the 2019 season at Robicheaux Ranch in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA—OCTOBER 23, 2018—AQHA Racing Champion Open Me A Corona SI 106, his first crop are weanlings of 2018, has joined the stallion roster at Robicheaux Ranch in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to stand the upcoming breeding season.

A son of multiple stakes sire Coronas Leaving You, Open Me A Corona is from the same sire line as World Champion Wave Carver SI 014, three-time champion Ocean Runaway SI 105 and multiple graded stakes sire Sir Runaway Dash SI 97. He will be offered for a $2,500 fee with consideration.

Owned Dr. Tommy Hays, Mag 3 Investments and Bobby Martinez, the 2015 AQHA Racing Champion Aged Stallion won 16 of 21 career starts and earned $929,150.

Among his 12 career stakes wins are the $1 million LQHBA Breeders' Futurity(RG1), Louisiana Classic Stakes(RG2), Vals Fortune Stakes(RG2), John Alleman Memorial Stakes(RG3)-twice, Louisiana Champions Day Classic(RG2), Louisiana Classic Stakes(RG2), Gentilly Dash Stakes, Mr Jess Perry Stakes-twice, Opelousas Stakes and Lakeview Stakes. He was third in the Grade 2 Eastex Stakes and a finalist in the Delta Downs LA Bred Derby(RG2), LQHBA Laddie Futurity(RG2).

Open Me A Corona is by Firecracker Futurity(G2) winner Coronas Leaving You SI 103 ($278,358), a multiple stakes sire from seven crops to race with 209 winners, 32 black type, 1 champion, earnings of more than $8.5 million and average earnings per starter of more than $25,000.
