All American Derby Winner Apollitical Blood to Robicheaux Ranch


Apollitical Blood dominated the 2015 Grade 1 $2.37 million All American Derby at Ruidoso last September.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA—DECEMBER 8, 2015—Apollitical Blood SI 99, 2015's All American Derby winner and leading contender for champion 3-year-old colt, will kickoff his stallion career in 2016 at Robicheaux Ranch, Inc., near Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. His fee has been set at $5,500 with consideration.

Rancho El Cabresto, Inc. owns the son of world champion and leading second crop sire Apollitical Jess.

"We are very thankful to Rancho El Cabresto for allowing Robicheaux Ranch to kickoff Apollitical Blood's stallion career," Ryan Robicheaux said Tuesday. "I felt like a college coach trying to recruit one of the best running backs in the country."

"Apollitical Blood will get to take advantage of our lucrative Louisiana-bred program but he has all the creditability for his progeny to be compete on a national level," Robicheaux added. "With this stallion's performance and pedigree he is the total package."

Trained by Juan Aleman, Apollitical Blood won nine of 14 starts including a dominating 1¾-length victory in the $2.37 million All American Derby at Ruidoso Downs that included a field of such runners as Kiss My Hocks, Sam Crow, Mad About The Moon and Politicaly Correct to name a few.

With earnings of $1,519,800 he was also second in the Golden State Million Futurity(G1) and a finalist in the Los Alamitos 2 Million Futurity(G1), All American Futurity(G1), Ed Burke Million Futurity(G1) and Texas Classic Derby(G1).

Apollitical Blood is out of the G2-placed Fishers Dash mare Brazilian Dasher SI 93, dam of 5 ROM including Apollitical Blood SI 99 (see above), Golden State Juvenile winner Apollitical Legacy (3 wins to 3, 2015, $25,965) and Golden State Juvenile winner Apollitical Dynasty SI 87 (2 wins at 2, 2015 $21,830).
