Louisiana House Bill 365 passes House Floor On a Vote of 101 to 0

Louisiana House Bill 365 passed the House Floor On a vote of 101 to 0.

ALEXANDRIA, LA—APRIL 23, 2021—House Bill 365 passed the House Floor on a Vote of 101 to 0.

The proposed law requires that one of the three owner-members of the LA State Racing Commission be a horseman nominated by the Louisiana Quarter Horse industry.

Bruce Salard, Executive Director LQHBA, testified in the House Hearing earlier this week and LQHBA members were asked to contact the committee member in their districts and voice their support for House Bill 365.

“We appreciate our active LQHBA membership which was instrumental in moving this legislation forward," Salard said today.

LQHBA is the official authorized representative of the American Quarter Horse racing and breeding industry in Louisiana, the unified voice of quarter Horse breedings in the State of Louisiana for purposes of communicatting the advantages and rewards of breeding Quarter Horses in the State and for the purposes of a conducting and coordinating activities with breeding and racing agencies.
