Second Day Across-the-Board Increases Continue In Louisiana - CORRECTED

KINDER, LA—AUGUST 3, 2018—Horsemen in Louisiana focused their energy on the 260 state-bred yearlings offered in today's second session of the 2018 LQHBA Yearling Sale, setting second day sale records for gross sales, average and median price compared to day 2 last year.

Of the 387 yearlings offered in the first two sessions, 305 sold for a total of $4,365,300, up 48% from last year's $2,952,800 for 260 horses sold. The average price through two-sessions is $14,312, up 26% from last year's $11,357. The first two session's median price rose to $8,200, which is up 9% from the $7,500 second day median in 2017.
